Saina Nehwal, Kidambi Srikanth Fail To Qualify For Tokyo Olympics
Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth will miss the Tokyo Olympics after they failed to qualify the Badminton World Federation rankings list. With the tournaments' official qualifying window closing on June 15, the BWF announced to hold no more matches. According to the rules only top 16 shuttlers as of June 15 will qualify for the games. Meanwhile, PV Sindhu, B Sai Praneeth, Chirag Shetty have qualified for games.

Kidambi Out of Denmark Open After Losing Quarterfinals
India's campaign at the Denmark Open came to an end on October 16 after the country's ace shuttler Kidambi Srikanth faced a loss against Taipei's Chou Tien Chen. The world number two defeated Srikanth 22-20, 13-21, 16-21 in a 61-minute quarterfinal at Odense. Reportedly, Srikanth will next appear for the Asia Tour which is scheduled for next January in Thailand.

Denmark Open: Kidambi Srikanth Beats Jason Anthony, Enters Quarterfinals
Former world number one shuttler Kidambi Srikanth entered the Denmark Open quarterfinals after marking a 33-minute victory against Canada's Jason Anthony Ho-Shue with 21-15, 21-14 score in the second round. "It is definitely a match where I can understand where I'm at," said the 24-year-old after securing the victory. The Indian ace shuttler will face Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei next match.

Denmark Open: Kidambi Srikanth Enters Second Round After Beating Toby Penty
Ace Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth defeated England's Toby Penty by 21-12, 21-18 in the first round of the Denmark Open Super 750 on October 14. Srikanth will now be facing either Subhankar Dey or Jason Anthony Ho-Shue in second round. Besides Srikanth, Lakshya Sen has also entered the second round of the tournament. Notably, the Super 750 is the only badminton event being played this year.
