21 Year Old Myanmar Refugee Gang Raped In Delhi

In Delhi's Kalindi Kunj, a horrific gang rape of a 21-year-old Myanmar refugee was reported. The Delhi Police registered a case and booked unidentified people under IPC section, based on the victim's complaint. As per the victim, she was abducted on February 22, and was raped by four men for four days. Later, they threw her at an unknown location, and was saved by locals.

UP Youth Kidnaps 2 Minors, Rapes & Murders Nine Year Old

In Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, two girls, aged nine and six, respectively were allegedly abducted. On August 19, the police confirmed murder and rape of the nine-year-old girl, whose body was found in a field with blood stains on her clothes. The six-year-old managed to escape, and registered a case against a youth, a resident of girl's village, who has been arrested and confessed the crime, said SSP Muniraj G.

Tribal Man Gets 10 Year RI In Kidnapping, Rape Case: Odisha

In Odisha, a Fast Track Court Judge-cum-Additional District Judge Bhaskar Chandra Sahu, gave 10-year rigorous imprisonment (RI) to a tribal man for kidnapping a 17-year-old girl and repeatedly raping her for three-years. On July 13 verdict, the Kandhamal district judge also imposed Rs 2 lakh fine. If the accused fail to pay the fine, he needs to spend an additional 2-years in jail in the 2019 rape and kidnapping case.

Kapurthala District Court Awards Life Imprisonment To Three Youths For Kidnap, Murder Charges

A Punjab court announced life imprisonment to three youths in connection with the kidnapping and gruesome murder of a 14-year-old boy for ransom. On July 5, Kapurthala District and Sessions Judge Amarinder Singh gave the verdict, in 2016 case. Notably, three youths, including a cousin of the victim kidnapped an industrialist's son and called for Rs 30 lakh ransom. Later, police found victim's body in a gunny-bag and registered case.

21 Year Old College Student Kidnapped, Raped In Tripura, FIR Registered

In Tripura, a 21-year-old college student was allegedly kidnapped, while she was returning home from college, and then was raped. As per reports, three youths forcefully abducted the victim from the Melagarh petrol pump and took to a house near Hadra. The police with the help of locals rescued the woman, but couldn't nab the accused, who fled the spot, said Officer in Charge (OC), Melagarh police station, Kamalendu Dhar.

Former MP's Jithender Reddy's Guests Abducted In Delhi

Four people including driver (Tilak Thapa) and guests of former MP AP Jithender Reddy abducted from his residence in 105 South Avenue, Delhi. The incident happened on March 1, was recorded on a nearby CCTV, according to which two unknown person kidnapped the four people. Reddy on March 2, shared the video and registered a case with the Delhi police, seeking justice and quick probe.  Furthermore, an investigation is underway.

2 Arrested For Revenge Killing Of Employer's 8 Year Old Child: UP

UP police reportedly arrested two sacked employees Nijam and Shaheed, for kidnapping and murder of an 8-year-old. The two employees who used to work with a doctor in UP,  kidnapped and brutally killed the child, and dumped the body at Chhatari Police Station. The act was to take revenge on the doctor, who allegedly sacked them for error during work. The accused confessed to their crimes. Further investigation is underway.

Makthum Saab planned to kidnap himself to extort money from his father and was returned to his family after police tracked him in Tirupati. Makthum's father, Ghani Saab, reported his disappearance to police on September 13 and claimed he was being held ransom for Rs 5 lakh. Makthum confessed to police that he was obsessed with purchasing designer-clothing and mobile phones, which caused Rs 3 lakh loan on his head.
