India Registers 82 Tomato Fever Cases In Children Under 5 Years

Tomato flu, often known as tomato fever, was initially reported in Kerala on May 6, and India has registered 82 instances so far. Tomato flu, which affects children under the age of five, is sometimes referred to as an undetected fever. Rashes, red blisters, and skin irritation are common symptoms in children with flu. Doctors stated if supportive treatment is provided, the symptoms will heal on their own over time.

Over 50 Lakh Children In 12-14 Age Group Recieve First Jab: Covid-19

Over 50 lakh children aged between 12-14 years received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, till March 23, as informed by Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. In addition, India’s COVID-19 vaccination drive has covered more than 181 crore individuals. Notably, the vaccination drive for the age group of 12 to 14 years against COVID-19 started with the Corbevax vaccine on March 16.

DCGI Gives Nod To Bharat Biotech For Administering Covaxin To Kids

Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech was granted emergency approval to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to kids between the age of 12 to 18 years by the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI), on December 25. Pandemic Increases Depression, Anxiety In Kids: Study Finds

Karnataka Government to Provide Smartphones to 60,000 Anganwadi Teachers

The Karnataka government will be distributing over 60,000 smartphones at a cost of Rs.65 crore, to the Anganwadi workers across the state. The move will help teachers to upload the students' details such as height, weight, growth, and immunization status to the Common Application Service under the Poshan Abhiyan Scheme. An official said that smartphones will ease teacher's workload of maintaining 32 different registers.
