India Strongly Condemn Joke In Killing Of Jaahnavi Kandula, Demands Investigation
After a video showing a police officer laughing over the death of 23-year-old Indian student Jaahnavi Kandula by a speeding police patrol car in Seattle gained traction online, the Consulate General of India in San Francisco Thursday took cognizance of the video and called the matter “deeply troubling.” The Consulate stated that they have taken the matter up with authorities in Seattle and Washington DC

Earthquake 6.8 Magnitude Kills 296 People, Confirms US Report
At least 296 people have died after a powerful earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale struck central Morocco, the Interior Ministry confirmed on September 9. According to the US Geological Survey, the epicentre was in the High Atlas Mountains, 71 km south-west of Marrakesh, at a depth of 18.5 km. The quake struck at 11.11 p.m. and videos on social media showed people fleeing on the roads, damaged buildings.

Sanjeev Jeeva's Murder Raises Suspicious Killing Of Gangsters In UP
The recent killing of Sanjeev Jeeva raised question of who is behind gangster killings. Less than two months ago, killers disguised as journalists used the same modus operandi to kill Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf at a hospital gate. In both cases so far,UP Police failed to ascertain any clear motive of the killers, with no rivalry gang connection. Jeeva was a dreaded shooter of jailed gangster Mukhtar Ansari.

NIA Asks Canadian Govt To Take Action Against 2 Accused Canadians In Killing Of Punjab Priest
The Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) has contacted the Canadian government, pleading with them to take legal action against two citizens of Canada who murdered a priest. Over a year ago, the two people were reportedly implicated in the murder of a priest named Kamaldeep Singh in Punjab in January 2021. The central agency has requested that Canada conduct a priority probe into the two individuals.

RSS Worker Hacked To Death In Kerala's Palakkad
An RSS worker Srinivasan (45) was hacked to death in broad daylight by some assailants in Kerala's Palakkad on April 17. This comes a day after a PFI worker was murdered in a nearby village. The attackers had allegedly arrived on bikes and attacked Srinivasan inside a shop. The worker was rushed to the hospital, but could not make it. The BJP has alleged the involvement of the SDPI.

Man Kills His Friend With A Hammer After Heated Argument, Arrested
Domestic helper named Amit Kumar was killed by his friend Mahendra over a heated argument. The 35-year-old Kumar's brother lodged a missing complaint at the police station on March 5. After initial police interrogation, Mahendra confessed that he killed Amit with a hammer and hid his body. 5 Killed In Tragic Road Accident In Pune: Mumbai
Five persons have been killed in a road accident, after their car crashed into a container truck in the morning on January 30. The incident took place on Pune-Mumbai Expressway at Shilatane village, around 55km from Pune, following which victims were rushed to a nearby hospital, whose identities were being ascertained. Notably, the accident caused a major congestion on the highway.

Policeman Shot Dead At Anantnag's Bijbebara: J&K
Unknown gunmen have shot dead a police constable in Hassanpora village of Bijbebara area in Anantnag district of South Kashmir on January 29. Sources said that gunmen suspected to be militants shot at a policeman, identified as Ali Mohammad Ganaie, in Hassanpora village, due to which he received injuries to his head and died on the spot. Reportedly, the area was cordoned off soon after the attack took place.

11 Killed In Gun Firing At A Russian School By Teenage Gunmen
Nearly 11 people were killed in Russian city of Kazan after two teenage gunmen opened fire in a school leaving many others injured. In a viral video, few children were seen jumping off the window from the third floor of the school. According to a Russian news agency, a 19-year-old gunman was detained by the cops while the motive of fire still remains unknown.
