North Korean Women, Girls Banned To Be Named After Kim Jong Un's Daughter

In North Korea, women and girls are forced to change their identities if they share the same name as Kim Jong Un's daughter, Ju Ae.  The North Korean authorities asked women to change their names as naming after Kim Jong Un's 10-year-old daughter is prohibited. An anonymous source said, "Yesterday, the Ministry of Security in Jeongju City summoned women registered with the resident registration department under the name 'Ju Ae'

Japan Asks Resident To Take Shelter As North Korean Missile Flies Over Tokyo

In wake of the unidentified ballistic missile fired by North Korea, Japan has asked its residents to take shelter. This has come after the missile flew over Tokyo. Japanese government asked the residents of northernmost main island of Hokkaido and the country’s northeastern prefecture of Aomori to stay inside the buildings. Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said that the missile flew over Tokyo and fell in the Pacific Ocean.

North Korea Fires 2 Short-Ranged Ballistic Missiles Ahead Of Kamala Harris’ Visit To South Korea

North Korea has fired two short-ranged ballistic missiles ahead of US Vice President Kamala Harris’ visit to South Korea, on September 28. The news was confirmed by South Korea’s military and Japanese officials. According to South Korean military, the missiles were fired from the Sunan area in Pyongyang. Reportedly, the missiles flew “around 360 kms at the speed of Mach 6, at an altitude of 30 kms”.

North Korea Announces Emergence Of New Contagious Illness In Midst Of COVID-19 Pandemic

North Korea declared the emergence of another contagious illness, in addition to the prevailing COVID-19 outbreak, on June 16. KCNA did not comment on the nature of the epidemic or how many individuals had been affected. The new epidemic's severity is unknown. Kim Jong Un, the North Korean leader, has offered his own medications to individuals infected with the new disease.

Zero COVID-19 Case In the Country; North Korea Notifies To WHO

In a very surprising claim, China's neighbour North Korea has told the WHO that it tested more than 30,000 people so far, but found zero cases of Covid-19. According to experts, while the whole world is battling against coronavirus, the country's claim is widely doubtful considering North Korea's poor health infrastructure. However, the WHO's monitoring report says 149 people, tested during June 4-10, reported influenza-like illnesses.
