King Charles III, who waited 74 years to become a king, is being crowned in a ceremony full of pomp, pageantry and solemn religious significance. The event is scheduled at Westminster Abbey, London when King Charles III took the Coronation Oath. Welby asked King Charles to confirm that he will uphold the law and the Church of England during his reign and pledged to "perform and keep" those promises.
Indian president Droupadi Murmu met King Charles III during her visit to Buckingham palace on September 18. She also signed the condolence book for Queen Elizabeth II at Lancaster house in London. Ahead of the scheduled funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, president Murmu offered tributes to the late Queen at Westminster hall, where the coffin is placed.
