Mumbai Court Issues Bailable Warrant Against Shiv Sena Leader Sanjay Raut
Mumbai court issued a bailable warrant against Shiv Sena Spokesperson Sanjay Raut. On July 4, the court issued summoned Sanjay Raut in a defamation case filed by Kirit Somaiya's wife Medha Somaiya, who alleged that Raut linked their names in a Rs 100 crore scam, without any evidence, baselessly. In regard to this, Sanjay was asked to appear before Sewree magistrate, and when he didn't appear, issued the warrant.

Defamation Case Of Rs 100 Cr Filed Against Sanjay Raut: Maharashtra
BJP leader Kiriti Somaiyas's wife Medha Somaiyas filed a Rs 100 crore defamation case against Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut. Filed with the Bombay High Court on May 23, the petition was against the Rs 100-crore toilet construction scam allegations leveled against the BJP leader, without evidence. Somaiyas addressed the media and shared that Raut falsely accused her husband to tarnish their image and demanded the money for social work.

Hanuman Chalisa Row: Kirit Somaiya Received Only Minor Injury, Says Mumbai Police
Mumbai police stated that BJP leader Kirit Somaiya's injury was "not major", during the alleged attack by Shiv Sena workers. The police released the information on the severity of his wound, after receiving a report from Bandra's Bhabha hospital, where Somaiya was treated. The cut Somaiya received was 0.1 cm with no bleeding or swelling, said police. Reportedly, Somaiya was allegedly attacked by Shive Sena workers at Khar police station.

Maharashtra BJP President Warns State Govt Of Retaliation Over Attack On Kirit Somaiya
Following an attack on BJP leader Kirit Somaiya, Maharashtra BJP president Chandrakant Patil warned the state government of retaliation, on April 22. He alleged that the attack was carried out inside the police premises by the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government, and accused them for "propagating violence". Patil then asked, "do you want to create a Kerala or Bengal like situation in Maharashtra?"

BJP's Kirit Somaiya & Son Will Be Jailed For Money Extortion: Sanjay Raut
Mumbai Police started investigation against BJP leader Kirit Somaiya and son Neil in PMC Bank Scam. On March 2, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut took a dig at the BJP and said, Kirit-Neil and central agencies' officials linked with illegal money extortion activities will be jailed. He further alleged them to be involved in Rs 260 crore illegal investment and said, "Mark My words! Soon they will be behind bars".
