Temple In Bihar Desecrated, Idol Vandalized, Police Arrest One Suspect
In Bihar, a temple was desecrated in the Kishanganj district, confirmed police on July 22. As per information by devotees, who found an idol of the presiding deity at the Kali temple in Lahra chowk area vandalised. The incident created a ruckus, as the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bajrang Dal staged a demonstration by burning tyres on the road. The police suspected one and arrested them for interrogation, from Kishanganj.

Kishanganj Named 'Poorest' District Of Bihar: Niti Aayog Index
Patna's Kishanganj is the poorest district, as per Niti Aayog Multidimensional Poverty Index Report. Released on November 26, the index showed that 64.75 % people of Kishanganj are living under below poverty line (BPL). In addition, out of 38 total districts, 11 districts have 60 % people under BPL. Highlighting the Niti Aayog Index, former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav, slammed the Nitish Kumar Government over poverty in the State.

Bihar Man Lifts His Bride On Shoulder, Crosses River Bank
Shiv Kumar, a resident of the Kishanganj district in Bihar carried his newly-wed bride on his shoulder in order to cross the Kainkai river. The groom, along with the other wedding guests got stuck in the river due to the shallow water level while returning home. ''I had no option... no alternate route to reach my home,'' said the groom. Meanwhile, the video went viral over social media.
