IPL Team KKR Announces Chandrakant Pandit As New Head Coach

Co-owned by Shah Rukh Khan, the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders announced their new head coach, on August 17. KKR issued a press release and mentioned that Chandrakant Pandit will be its new head coach, replacing Brendon Mccullum. Notably, Pandit is a successful coach, who has been a reason behind victory of many Ranji title winner teams. This year he took Madhya Pradesh to their maiden Ranji title as well.

Cricketer Pat Cummins Donates $50,000 To PM Cares For Oxygen Supplies

Australian cricketer Pat Cummins on April 26 donated $50,000 to the PM Cares Fund for the purchase of oxygen supplies. Currently representing Kolkata Knight Riders for the 14th season of the IPL, the pacer also urged fellow IPL players to come forward and help. Lauding the government’s move of continuing IPL amid COVID surge, Cummins said “playing the IPL…in lockdown provides a few hours of joy and respite”.
