Chinese Soldier Detained At Line Of Actual Control In Eastern Ladakh

For trespassing border, a Chinese soldier was captured by the Indian troops near the Pangong Tso lake in Eastern Ladakh in the wee hours of January 8. Notably, this is the second incident at the Line of Actual Control in the last 19 months. As per reports, the Indian Army have initiated a probe on the matter. ITBP Rolls Out Online Liquor Distribution System For Its Personnel

An online Centralised Liquor Management System (CLMS) has been launched by the ITBP to provide desired liquor brands to the Army personnel guarding the LAC. The recently cleared long-standing move will help the in-service and retired ITBP personnel to buy liquor from their nearest unit and also check the stock online. Previous system provisioned them to purchase the liquor only from the canteens of the units, where they were posted.

US Commission Report Says China Plans Galwan Valley Clash

The US-China Economic and Security Review Commission on December 1 stated that the Galwan Valley clash was a planned one by the Chinese government. The report referred the clash, which led to the death of 20 Indian soldiers, as "most severe border crisis in decades". It also stated satellite images have revealed that the Chinese Army was increasing its buildup in the region prior to the clash itself.

India Returns PLA Soldier Who Crossed LAC To China

The soldier of China's People's Liberation Army, who had crossed over LAC to the Indian side, was returned back to the country in the late hours of October 20. Reportedly, the Indian Army handed him over to the Chinese Army at the Chushul Moldo meeting point. Missing PLA Soldier Crossed Border To Help Local Herdsman: China

China’s People’s Liberation Army asserted that its soldier, who was missing since October 18, had crossed the LAC to help local herdsmen. The PLA officials said they were in contact with India and hoped for his safe return as per the consensus derived in 7th Commander-level talk amid border standoff. The Indian Army confirmed they identified soldier as Corporal Wang Ya Long, and received a request from PLA regarding him.
