A lake conservationist in Bengaluru, Karnataka, urged on June 23 that silt from Gowdanapalya lake be disposed of in order to decrease pollution. Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) had already begun restoring  Gowdanapalya lake.
