CBI Can't Challenge Bail Grant, Says Lalu Prasad Yadav In SC
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief and former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav said CBI can't challenge bail orders just because they are not satisfied. In the court hearing, the RJD leader submitted his reply before the Supreme Court, "Jharkhand High Court's order on suspending his sentence cannot be challenged solely on the ground that the CBI is dissatisfied." CBI sought bail cancellation in Fodder Scam Case against Lalu.

ED Attaches Property Worth Rs 6.2 Crores Of RJD's Lalu Prasad Yadav
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on July 31, attached properties of Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family in connection with land for job scam. The RJD leader and former Union Railway Minister's properties worth Rs 6.2 crore has been attached by ED, confirmed reports, which is a major blow to the party. This is the third time that the Enforcement Directorate has attached properties of Lalu Prasad and his family.

After the ED summoned former CM of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family, in land scam for job case, a BJP minister mocked Lalu. On March 11, the BJP Minister Anurag Thakur mocked Yadav and said, "you give me plot, I'll give you job.” Taking a dig at the RJD Chief, Thakur said, "He (Lalu) had only one slogan, 'you give me plot, I'll give you job.'

Will Not Spare If Something Happens, Says Lalu Prasad Yadav;s Daughter
Rohini Acharya, the former Bihar chief minister's second daughter, slammed the CBI questioning of Lalu Prasad Yadav in a scam case, On March 7, Acharya said, his father is constantly being harassed and is still in recovery stage, after the recent kidney transplant. Rohini, who gave a kidney to Lalu Prasad warned saying, she won't spare anyone if something happens to his father, after CBI visited Lalu for questioning.

Lalu Prasad Yadav Elected As Unopposed RJD Party Chief For Record 12th Time: Bihar
Former Bihar CM and founder of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Lalu Prasad Yadav has been elected as the party president for the record 12th time, on September 28. Notably, Lalu who filed the nomination papers, was the only one to do so, and hence was elected unopposed as the party chief. A close aide of politician Lalu Prasad Yadav has been arrested in a scam case. On July 27, the CBI arrested Bhola Yadav in connection with the land for job scam during Lalu Prasad Yadav's tenure as Railway Minister (2004-2009.) Furthermore, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigation, about 1,05,292 Sq. feet land, immovable properties were acquired by Yadav through five sales deeds and two gift deeds.

RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav Slips On Staircase, Breaks Shoulder, Injures Back
Lalu Prasad Yadav, the president of the RJD, fell on July 4, breaking his shoulder and injuring his back. The former chief minister of Bihar, who was staying at his wife Rabri Devi's house, also a former chief minister, fell down the steps. Prasad, who has a number of medical issues, was immediately taken to the hospital. The septuagenarian was "experiencing no problems" other than shoulder and back discomfort.

Lalu Prasad Yadav To Undergo Kidney Transplant, Seeks Passport Renewal & Permission For Foreign Travel
Former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav has approached the CBI, seeking for the release of his passport, to travel abroad for kidney transplant. Yadav's lawyer said that once his passport gets renewed, Yadav will most likely got to Singapore for the transplant. He further stated that once the doctor's appointment is fixed, they will seek for permission to travel abroad in all five cases he has been convicted.
