26/11 Mumbai Attack: Leaders Pay Tribute To Victims & Security Personnel

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on November 26, termed the Mumbai 26/11 terror attack as a "cowardly" act while paying tribute to those who had lost their lives. About ten Lashkar-e-Taliban terrorists came to Mumbai via sea route from Pakistan and carried out a series of attacks across the city. Many political leaders across the country paid homage to the victims and security personnel who were brutally killed.

Security Forces Neutralise LeT Commander & 1 Other Terrorist

In a search-turned gunfight at Kashmir’s Shopian area, a top commander of Pakistan-based terrorist group, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was killed by the security forces on July 19. "A top commander of LeT, Ishfaq Dar alias Abu Akram was neutralised. Akram was active here since 2017," said Vijay Kumar, Inspector-General of Police, Kashmir. Reportedly, another terrorist was also shot, along with the leader.

A Lashkar-e-Taiba shelter was busted by the Jammu and Kashmir police in Pulwama's Pampore town on January 10. Lashkar-e-Taiba Associate Arrested With Weapons In J&K

A terrorist associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba has been arrested from Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The arrest took place during a joint search operation of J&K Police and 34 Rashtriya Rifles. The police have also seized a Chinese pistol, hand grenade, German compass, and two AK magazines from the accused. Reportedly, on the basis of incriminating evidences, the district police have file a case against the accused.

26/11 Mumbai Attacks: US Announces $5 Million Reward for Information on Mastermind

The US Rewards for Justice program released an official statement mentioning that informers of the whereabouts of the 26/11 attacker will be rewarded up to $5 million. According to the statement, any information that would lead to the arrest or conviction of Lashkar-e-Taiba member Sajid Mir will be eligible for the reward. The announcement comes twelve years after the attack where at least 166 people lost their lives.

Enforcement Directorate Claims of Illegal Funding in India Through FiF Organisation

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a charge sheet against the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Muhammad Hafiz Saeed and his partners for money laundering by his financial organization Falah-i-Insaniyat (FiF) foundation. ED said that the FiF was providing funds to channels that were operating illegally. The investigation disclosed that the funds were transferred to India via Pakistan and Dubai.
