In a welfare move, the family of singing legend Lata Mangeshkar is to built her dream building of an old-age home. On July 13, the Swar Mauli Foundation launched the building, which will be constructed by a "secular and non-profit" foundation, The new home in Nashik will be open for old-age artists and people who are home-less announced Mangeshkar's family on the occasion of Guru Purnima.

BJP Delays UP Manifesto Release Amid Lata Mangeshkar's Demise
The BJP unit in Uttar Pradesh, on February 6, announced to postpone, manifesto release. The decision was taken in the view of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar's demise. Scheduled to release at 10:15 today, Amit Shah, Swatantra Dev, CM Yogi Adityanath announced to delay "Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra," the UP manifesto. The next date of the manifesto release would be announced soon. Meanwhile, UP elections are to begin from February 10.

Legendary singer and Queen of Melody Lata Mangeshkar passed away at the age of 92 on February 6. Mangeshkar's sister Usha confirmed, "Lata Mangeshkar is dead". Notably, the 92-year-old was admitted at Breach Candy Hospital after being diagnosed with COVID-19 and later pneumonia. Lata Mangeshkar Still In ICU; Doctor Says Health Deteriorating
Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar's health is worsening, following which she has been put on ventilator. On February 5, doctors at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai confirmed the same and said, she is undergoing treatment under the doctor's supervision, in the ICU. Notably, Ms Mangeshkar was admitted to the Mumbai hospital, on January 11, after she was diagnosed of COVID-19, following which she also got pneumonia and is undergoing treatment.

Legendary Singer Lata Mangeshkar's health condition is improving, under the team of doctors headed by Dr. Pratit Samdani. According to the family statement, issued on January 27, "Lata didi continues to be in the ICU at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai under treatment. We thank each one of for your prayers and good wishes". Notably, the 92-year-old was admitted on January 8, after being diagnosed with COVID-19 and later pneumonia.
