Italy's Ex PM Receives Backlash For Unveiling Statue Of Woman In Transparent Dress

A bronze statue of a woman dressed in a transparent dress is being criticised by the citizens after it was unveiled in Italy by former PM Giuseppe Conte. The statue is inspired by a 19th-century poem on Carlo Pisacane's failed expedition against the Kingdom of Naples. Italian leader Laura Boldrini said, "how can institutions accept representation of woman as a sexualised body".
