Google removed over 1.11 lakh harmful content from its search site, which was violating the newly implemented IT Rules 2021. Gujarat's Home and Law Minister, Pradipsinh Jadeja, stated he will challenge the HC order to stay Section 5 of the amended anti-conversion law in the Supreme Court. Jadeja said on August 26 the "anti-love jihad law" was made “as a weapon to destroy the jihadi forces that abuse our daughters”. He added Section5, which requires prior permission of the district magistrate before conversion, is the core of anti-conversion law.
