Punjab Minister Blames Previous Govts For Gangster Deepak Toni’s Escape; Says, ‘Black Sheep’ In Police
Punjab minister and AAP leader Aman Arora blamed that previous governments for the escape of gangster Deepak Tinu from police custody. He further stated that there is a “black sheep” in the police department. Notably, gangster Deepak Tinu, a close aide of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi accused in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, was brought from Tihar for questioning, where he reportedly escaped from the police custody.

Three Arrested For Posing As Members Of Bishnoi Gang & Attempting To Extort Rs 30 Lakh From Businessman: Haryana
In Haryana’s Yamunanagar, three persons have been arrested for allegedly posing as members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and attempting to extort Rs 30 lakh from a businessman. According to the police, the victim, a businessman from Bilaspur, received a WhatsApp call from a “foreign number”. The businessman reportedly also received a threat letter to his residence, directing him to deliver the said amount at a certain location.
In the ongoing investigation of the Sidhu Moose Wala killing case, NIA has conducted raids at multiple locations of various “terror gangs”. The Agency carried out the search operation in coordination with local police personnel. The search has come after a probe has been launched against some terror gangs. The gangs are suspected to have links to the shoot out of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala on May 29.
Arrested gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has been sentenced to two-day police custody by a Faridkot court, on August 10. Reportedly, the remand is in the connection with extorting Rs 50 lakh from a cloth merchant. Notably, Faridkot police brought him from Moga, and seeked for his remand before the court. Bishnoi is a main accused in the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.
In New Delhi's Khatta area, one member of the notorious Gogi gang has been arrested following an encounter near Bhalswa Dairy, on August 1. The accused identified as Bhagwan Singh, is reportedly a sharpshooter of the Gogi gang and boxer gang. According to the police, the gang also used to work for Lawrence Bishnoi. The police stated that when asked to surrender, the accused opened fire, resulting in an encounter.
In the ongoing murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, a court of chief judicial magistrate has sent gangster Lawrence Bishnoi to a 10-day police remand for further investigation. Near Punjab's Amritsar, an encounter broke out between Punjab police officials and two unidentified assailants, on July 20. The assailants are reportedly suspects in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case. The encounter occurred after the Punjab Anti-Gangster Task Force tailed the two men in Bhakna village. Following the incident, the area has been cordoned off and people have been asked to stay indoors.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, has brought gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria face-to-face for questioning, on July 12. The cross interrogation was reportedly carried out to connect the dots in the investigation. Furthermore, over 18 persons have been arrested so far, in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case.
