In a video that went viral, a cop was seen being beaten by a mob in Delhi's Anand Vihar police station. The police have arrested one person for the same. The accused, Satish Kumar (29), is a lawyer by profession. The police was surrounded by a mob of 10-12 persons, while others were seen clicking photos of the incident. The cop was seen begging for forgiveness, while the assault continued. 

A visually impaired advocate from Jammu & Kashmir has been protesting, demanding to implement disability laws in UT. Advocate Suraj Singh, has been practicing law from 2011 in the Jammu wing of the J&K HC. He said that he has "been harassed through their adopting a lackadaisical approach in implementing the RPWD act" and has been harassed. He will continue the protest until the law for disabled are implemented.

In the latest development, Former Maharastra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh's lawyer Anand Daga has been taken into police custody. However, the transit remand was passed by the judicial magistrate after which he was brought to Delhi for further investigation. Two people have been arrested under the case including a CBI sub-inspector and will be presented before the competent court, said CBI.

Lawyers in Maharashtra have voiced a complaint about the Bombay High Court's decision of "physical hearing" during the pandemic from December 1. While the High Court has decided to withhold the virtual hearings, Bombay Bar Association has requested the Maharashtra Chief Justice to postpone the decision untill December end.
