Laxmi Ratan Shukla

Cricketer-politician Laxmi Ratan Shukla has stepped down as West Bengal Sports Minister on January 5. As per reports, Shukla took the decision since he wanted to stay away from politics. Moreover, he has resigned from the Trinamool Congress' Howrah District's President post as well. However, he will continue to be the MLA of Howrah Uttar. The former cricketer was elected to the assembly in 2016 polls.
