Wadhawans In Mumbai Granted Protection From Arrest In Connection With Mall Fire Case
Housing Development Infrastructure Limited owners Rakesh and Sarang Wadhawan were given protection from arrest in a heinous homicide case filed after a fire in a Bhandup mall last year. They were directors of Dreams The Mall Company, which owns Dreams Mall. On March 25, 2021, a fire broke out on the mall's ground level, and the smoke killed 11 people hospitalized at Sunrise Hospital on the building's third story.

Twitter Delays Appointment Of India's Grevience Officer
The Delhi HC on July 8 told Twitter that it cannot take "as long as it wants" to appoint an India-based compliance officer without losing legal protection. Twitter had claimed that it will appoint a grievance officer and make its first compliance report public by July 11. However, the American mogul stated that it still reserves rights to challenge the new IT rules that regulate content on social media.
