Karnataka Monsoon Session To Begin From Sep 12, Announces Cabinet
The Karnataka cabinet announced to convene the monsoon session of the state legislature from September 12. The Cabinet meeting held on August 25, suggested the session be for 10 working days, to discuss issues and bills in the State. Briefing about the cabinet decisions, the Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister JC Madhuswamy said, the session will be held at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru, except on Saturdays and Sundays.

Former CM Yediyurappa Awarded The Best Legislator In Karnataka
Karnataka Assembly awarded the Former CM BS Yediyurappa with the best Legislator for 2020-21 on September 24. Current Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla bestowed the memento to Yediyurappa in the Karnataka assembly. Notably, Yediyurappa won as an MLA for the first time in 1983 to join Karnataka Assembly. In his long political career, he also served as a Karanatka's CM four times before stepping down in July 2021.

Tunnel Discovered In Delhi; Connects Red Fort To Legislative Assembly
Delhi Legislative assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel revealed that authorities on September 2, found a tunnel-like structure, connecting Red Fort to the Delhi assembly. Fadnavis Admits Of Miscalculating MVA At Maharashtra MLC Polls
After the early results of the Legislative Council Elections, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on November 4, admitted of underestimating the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). With BJP leading at only one out of six seats, Fadnavis said, "We miscalculated the combined power of the three parties." As per reports, MVA has won three - Pune, Nagpur and Aurangabad - legislative council seats and are leading at two.

Karnataka Assembly Session Cut Down to 6 Days; Only Important Bills to Be Taken
Karnataka government has decided to cut down the state assembly's monsoon session to six days owing to the pandemic. The session which started on September 21 was skipped by over 60 MLAs. Notably, seven ministers, including Deputy CM and Home Minister, are currently under quarantine. The assembly has decided to take up only few important bills in this session and withhold the others for a longer session.

Man Attempts Suicide over Disappointment with State Government's Policies
On September 10, a person named Nagulu (50) in Telangana, attempted suicide after allegedly being disappointed with state government's policies.
