Lightning Strikes Oil Storage Facility In Cuba; 80 Injured, 17 Missing
A lightning struck at an oil storage facility in Cubas Matanzas city, leaving at least 80 Injured, on August 6. The lightning has caused a massive fire in the facility, due to which, at least 17 firefighters have gone missing. Furthermore, efforts to douse the fire are underway. Reportedly, the government has seeked for expert opinions from other countries with experience in oil sector.

Lightning Strike Incident Near Jharkhand School Leaves 6 Student Seriously Injured
In Jharkhand's Bokaro district, school students complained complications when a lightning strike near a government school on July 23. The incident happened around 12:24 pm, when classes were going on at Bandhdih Middle School in Jaridih block, Bokaro. Lightning Strike Incident Kills 14 People In UP, CM Announces Ex-Gratia

3 Killed, Other Injured In Lightning Strike: Madhya Pradesh
Three tribals identified as Rambharat Adivasi (28), Dilip Adivasi (27) and Mukesh Adivasi (20) were killed by lightning in a forest area of Sheopur district, Madhya Pradesh, confirmed police on July 7. Satendra Singh Tomar, the ASP said, the victims were on a picnic near the forest, when lightning stuck on them, resulting death, and burn injuries to three others, undergoing treatment. Furthermore, a case has been registered.

Lightning Strikes, Kills 1 & Leaves Another Injured In Himachal Pradesh's Sirmaur
In Himachal Pradesh's Sirmaur district, a person was killed and another was injured after being hit by lightning on May 22, according to an official from the state disaster management authority. Reportedly, the incident occurred at Bungreni village in Paonta Sahib Tehsil, after which the injured was rushed to a Nahan hospital. In another similar incident, a mud house caught fire at Kajwa village.
