India-China Holds 14th Military Talks To Resolve Stand Off Issue

India-China conducted the 14th round of talks over the stand-off dispute at the LAC in Eastern Ladakh, on January 12. Held after a gap of three months, the two nations discussed disengagement in Hot Spring areas. The military talks were held between Lt. Gen Anindya Sengupta, the Commander of Leh Based 14 Corps and Chinese official Maj Gen Yang Lin. Notably, October's 13th round meeting ended in a stalemate.

Indian Air Force Develops Highest Moving ATC Tower In Ladakh

The world's highest mobile Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower has been set up at the Advanced Landing Ground in the eastern Ladakh region by the Indian Air Force (IAF). The ATC manages fixed-wing aircrafts and choppers which operate in the region. The IAF has also positioned the "Igla man-portable missiles" in the region for tackling aerial attacks. India is also thinking about constructing airfields near Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Chinese Army Assemble At Western Border, Violates Bilateral Agreement: India

China assembled its troops near India's border and attempted to "alter LAC's status quo". India on June 24, called it a deliberate violation of the bilateral agreement. External Affairs Ministry's spokesperson said that the commotion is "disturbing the peace and tranquillity at the borders". The statement came after China claimed that its actions are normal defence arrangements, aimed at "preventing or responding" to "encroachment threats".… read-more
