In a way to boost start-ups in India, Bits Pilani allowed their students in their final year to take a year off from college and work on ideas for startup companies. The new 'Innovation and Startup Policy 2022" is implemented in Bits Pilani will not only provide time off, but will also give credit scores and 2% grace in semester exams, if their business models get national/state level recognition.

At meta, the layoffs once again started in a huge scale. In the fresh wave of layoffs, employees working in the technical and IT sector will be hit. As per sources, Meta (formerly Facebook) has kicked off a fresh round of layoffs, handing over pink slips to employees with technical backgrounds globally. Many employees took to their LinkedIn profiles and shared they layoff stories, informing how they were fired.

Google also added itself in the list of companies, which conducted a mass layoffs, leaving over 10,000 employees jobless. CEO Sundar Pichai, in a letter to employees, announced the tough decision and accepted ‘full responsibility’ for the same. LinkedIn, famous as a job-sharing platform, on December 2, launched its Hindi interface, targeting 600 million Hindi speakers globally. The platform will now support 25 languages globally. Citing to the COVID-19 variations, several companies like Microsoft and Linkedin are looking forward to continuing working in the online environment rather than returning to in-office mode. "We tried [setting a firm return date] and it doesn't work because I think the unknowns on the pandemic and also the other side of it is the worldwide nature of this," Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO said.
