Tamil Nadu Poll Body Announces Dates For Local Body Election
The Tamil Nadu Election Commissioner on September 13 announced that the rural local body election will be held in nine newly constituted districts on October 6 and 9. Candidates can file their nominations between September 15-22 and can also withdraw nominations by September 25. AAP To Contest Gujarat Local Body Polls; Issues List Of Candidates
After announcing to contest Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand elections, the Aam Aadmi Party has declared to contest on all seats of Gujarat’s local body elections. Moreover, the party released its first list of 504 candidates on January 3. Eying AAP as an alternative to the BJP, the party spokesperson Atishi said the party would also contest in Gujarat assembly polls. Besides, AAP’s Gujarat chief affirmed to abolish corruption in the state.
