Local Court Announces Life Imprisonment To 6 Accused In 1995 Murder Case

In Uttar Pradesh, a Pratapgarh local court sentenced life imprisonment to six people, accused in a 1995 murder case. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 24,000 on each of the accused. Kripa Shankar, a local leader filed the petition in 1995, claiming Harivansh Tiwari; Anoop (Umesh) Om Prakash, alias Nanhe; Rajesh Kumar, alias Lallu; Anant Kumar Tiwari and Kamlesh Kumar Pandey, allegedly killed his nephew Suresh Narayan.

Lakhimpur Violence Accused Ashish Mishra Sent To Judicial Custody

Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni's son Ashish Mishra has been sent to judicial custody following his arrest in connection with Lakhimpur Kheri violence in Uttar Pradesh on October 9. However, a local will decide whether he'll be sent to police custody for three-day on October 11. Police have arrested two out of seven accused mentioned in the FIR. Notably, eight people died in the violence, including four farmers.

Alcoholic Son Kills Mom & Fries Her Organs, Receives Death Sentence

Sunil Rama Kuchkoravi, a 35-year-old labourer has been sentenced to death by a local court in Maharashtra's Kolhapur for murdering his mother in a cold-blooded manner. Reportedly, Kuchkoravi is an alcoholic and has killed his mother in 2017 for ''satisfying his lust for liquor'' and fried her organs for eating. ''He forcibly eliminated the life of his helpless mother, which is the ultimate insult of motherhood,'' said the court.
