Locals Rescue 12-Feet-Long Injured Python In Baksa, Assam
Locals in Baksa district of Assam, along India-Bhutan border, saved a 12-foot-long wounded python from the Subankhata Reserved Forest on July 8. Locals then alerted the forest authorities. As soon as the information was received, the rescue squad hastened to locate and rescue the snake. "We will send the python to Musalpur for treatment. The python came out from the forest area to search for food, "a forest official said.

West Bengal Police Arrests 5 People In Malda Crude Bomb Explosion Case
West Bengal Police arrested five people in connection with Malda's crude bomb blasts, which left four children critically injured. In Gopalnagar village, locals allegedly planted crude bombs, underneath a tree, near a mosque in the area. After an investigation, SP Amitava Maiti confirmed the arrest and said that the bomb disposal squad is defusing all the bombs, found in the region and cordoned off the area.

Section 144 Imposed In Telangana's Nizamabad District
The Telangana police has imposed section 144 of the CrPC, amid tension in Nizamabad's Bodhan town, on March 20. According to sources, a group of people gathered on the road and started pelting stone, to protest against the installation of Shivaji statue, saying it has hurt their sentiments. To avoid further violence, Nizamabad CP KR Nagaraju imposed section 144 and filed a case against accused.
