Karnataka: Government Withdraws Covid-Induced Night Curfew

The Karnataka government has withdrawn the Covid-induced night curfew which was in force between 10 pm to 5 am, with immediate effect. Reportedly, horse racing has been permitted to resume strictly adhering to the Covid-19 guidelines and SOPs were issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department. Moreover, the number of racing patrons attending the venue has been limited with people fully vaccinated with the Covid-19 vaccine.

South Korea Starts Easing Restrictions Related To COVID-19

South Korea on October 29, said that it's going to lift COVID-19 curbs in the country. The removal of restrictions will be done phase-wise, with the 1st ease being implemented on November 1. Notably, the country has reached its goal by vaccinating 70% of its population. Reportedly, vaccine passports will be implemented, for people to enter gyms, cafes, and other public venues in the country.

Australia Eases Covid-19 Restrictions; Masks No Longer Required

The Government Of Australia, on October 29 announced to remove every restrictions on the Covid-19 guidelines for the city of Canberra. Reports stated that the city has the highest vaccine rate in the country, upto 92 percent of the population vaccinated. Hospitality venues, gyms and cinema theatres have been reopened with upto 75 percent seating capacity. Moreover, people of the city are no longer required  to wear face-masks.

New Zealand Plans To Ease COVID-19 Border Restrictions

New Zealand on October 28, announced that it would soon ease the Covid-induced restrictions for travellers which were imposed in march 2020. Travellers from the overseas who will be fully vaccinated will have to spend seven days in state quarantine facilities from November 14, said the government. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said that the country will soon end all of its restrictions once 90% of the population gets vaccinated.

Assam Govt Revises Curfew Timing In State: New COVID-19 Guidelines

In the latest guideline of COVID-19, Assam Government on October 26 relaxed the curfew timings by one hour, which would be effective from 11 PM to 5 PM. Commercial establishments, cinema halls, and restaurants will be working with 50% capacity and can remain open till 10 PM. Marriage and religious functions can be attended by 50% of People. Moreover, delivery of essential commodities is allowed for 24 hours.

UP Govt Allows Malls, Restaurants To Open On Weekdays At 50% capacity

After two months of lockdown and witnessing decline in the cases of COVID-19, the UP government has announced to withdraw certain restrictions. The restaurants and malls can re-open with 50% capacity during weekdays, the government declared. However, the curfew timings have been extended and rescheduled from 7PM to 9PM on the weekdays. Besides, the weekend curfew will continue in the state.

West Bengal Extends Lockdown; Govt Mandates E-Passes For Travelling

Amid the escalating cases of COVID-19, the West Bengal government has extended the lockdown till July 1. Earlier, the lockdown curfew was expected to be lifted by June 15. However, certain relaxations will be bestowed and e-passes will be required to travel. Besides, the sports activity will be resumed and educational institutions, gyms, beauty parlour, salons and cinema halls will remain closed.

Delhi Govt Announces Relaxations To COVID-19 Lockdown

The Delhi government has announced new relaxations to the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown in the state, effective from June 7. While private workplaces are allowed to function at 50% capacity, government offices can run with 100% of group A staff and 50% of group B. The Delhi Metro services will also resume with 50% occupancy. Besides, malls and local markets can operate on an odd-even basis from 10AM to 8PM.

Punjab Eases Restrictions As It Allows Bars In Hotels To Re-open

The Punjab government has given permission to hotel bars, shopping malls and multiplexes to reopen. However, the order, which was issued on November 9, will be applied on only those places that fall outside the containment zones. A government spokesperson said that the management of all these commercial establishments must conduct their operations by following all the health guidelines issued by the authorities.
