Madras HC passed an order on August 17 to either restore the Lok Sabha representation of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh or look for monetary compensation. Since Tamil Nadu successfully implemented its population control in 1962, both the states have been facing "unfair representation" in the Parliament.
