Hanuman Janmabhoomi Dispute: Lord Hanuman Born In Gokarna, Claims Karnataka
The chief of Ramachandrapura Mutt in Karnataka's Shivamogga said, according to Ramayanam, Gokarna is the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. However, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam's (TTD) expert committee will submit its report on April 21, and release a booklet proving Lord Hanuman was born in Anjanadri hill located at Sesachalam hill range. Amritsar: "Langoor Mela" Starts at Bada Hanuman Mandir On First Day of Navaratri
The boys in Amritsar dressed up as baboons to please Lord Hanuman as the popular Langoor Mela kickstarted at the Bada Hanuman Mandir on the first day of Navaratri on October 17. During the festive season, newborns to youngsters dress like baboons and practice ten days of celibacy. Due to the COVID-19 situation, the devotees were restricted from entering the temple and was instructed to maintain a safe distance.
