Students Develop Mumbai's 1st Live Streaming Azaan App, 'Al-Islaah,' Amid Loudspeaker Dispute
Four third-year IT undergraduate students from Maharashtra College started developing the azaan (call to prayer) app "Al-Islaah" in an effort to settle the loudspeaker dispute constructively. In the midst of the boiling debate about 'azaan' over loudspeakers, which has silenced many peace activists, the students released this app on August 24 that focuses on live streaming azaan. It will be accessible for both Android and iOS.

MNS Chief Thackeray To Address Rally In Pune, Police Issues Guidelines
MNS chief Raj Thackeray is scheduled to address a huge rally in Pune, on May 22. During the rally, Thackeray, who is in light due to loudspeaker row will share his details about the upcoming Ayodhya visit, on June 5 and address the public. In addition, the Pune police issued a list of 13 conditions, for the rally, restricting the use of abusive language, rioting, indecent behavior, or facing legal-actions.

karnataka Govt To Form Special Team For Loudspeaker Violations
In Karnataka, the BJP-led Government issued a notice, banning the use of loudspeakers between 10 pm to 6 am, amid Loudspeaker Row in India. In regard to this, Karnataka Environment & Ecology minister Anand Singh said, "Special teams will conduct surprise visits at sites where loudspeakers are installed to check violations." Meanwhile, state home minister Araga Jnanendra warned strict action against the violators in the state.
