IMD Issues Cold Wave Alert For Maharashtra
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued cold wave alert for Maharashtra, till January 27. Notably, the state witnessed second coldest morning below 16° Celsius. Furthermore, in Madhya Maharashtra, Nasik witnessed the lowest temperature of 6.3° Celsius. The fall in temperature is expected till Thursday, January 27. Notably, on January 10, Maharashtra reported its first coldest morning, which was below 10° Celsius.

Goa Witnesses Light-Moderate Rainfall, Temperature Likely To Drop: IMD
Goa will receive light to moderate rainfall on January 23, predicted the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). "Light rain very likely at a few places over North Goa and isolated places over South Goa districts during the next 3-4 hours," said IMD. The rainfall is due to cloudy winds, moving towards North-East direction. Moreover, after the rainfall, the temperature is likely to fall to 2°-3° Celsius, in two-three days.

Delhi Witnesses 'Coldest Morning' With 4.6° Celsius Temperature
Delhi witnessed coldest morning on December 19, with temperature falling as low as 4.6° Celsius, reported weather department. According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Delhi will be nearly 18° Celsius. With today's temperature, Delhi witnessed first 'Cold Day' in 2021. Notably, below 10° Celsius is termed as 'Cold Day'. Delhi Records Lowest Temperature; AQI Moves To 'Poor' Category
Delhi recorded its minimum temperature of the season on December 12, which is 6.4 degrees Celsius, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Earlier on December 11, the national capital recorded a temperature of 8.3 degrees Celsius. Besides, the air quality index (AQI) in Delhi was at 255, which falls under the 'poor' category. The AQI of Gurgaon and Noida was 200 and 213, respectively.

With 12.5 degrees Celsius Delhi Experiences Coldest October Day Since 1994
With winter setting in, Delhi recorded a distinctly low temperature of 12.5°C on October 29. While the average temperature during October is at 15°C-16°C, the current temperature has been the lowest since 1994. Delhi had recorded 12.3°C in 1994 and the all-time low temperature remains 9.4°C recorded in 1937. Experts attribute the present low temperatures to the absence of cloud cover and calm winds.
