LPG Gas Cylinder Prices Hikes By Rs 50 In India, 1st Since July 22

In effect from March 1, the Indian Oil Companies (IOC,) hiked prices of domestic LPG gas cylinders in India. the oil marketing companies announced a hike of Rs 50 on each 14.2 kg gas cylinder.  This is the first hike in domestic cylinder prices since July 6, 2022. With this, cylinders will be Rs 1,103 in Delhi, Rs. 1,102.50 in Mumbai, Rs. 1,129 in Kolkata and Rs. 1,118.50 in Chennai.read-more

LPG Cylinders For 19 Kg Slashed By Rs 36 Per Unit

Prices for LPG cylinders have been slashed by Rs 36, per unit, starting from August 1.  The new prices for 19-kilogram gas cylinders will be cheaper at Rs 1,976.75 in Delhi. In addition, prices of cylinders were also slashed in metro cities like Kolkata, and Chennai Mumbai. This is the second time in one month that prices for 19-kg cylinders have been slashed, but commercial cylinder prices remained the same.

Price For Commercial LPG Cylinder Increased By Rs 266 In India

Amid the rising fuel prices in India, the petroleum companies hiked the prices for commercial LPG cylinders of 19 kg by Rs 266 in the country on November 1. However, the prices for domestic LPG cylinders were left untouched. In Delhi, a commercial cylinder costs Rs 2,000.50 instead of Rs 1,734. Whereas the same cylinder comes at Rs 2,073.50 in Kolkata, 2,133 in Chennai, and 1,950 in Mumbai.

Rs 25 Hike On LPG Cylinders As Crude Prices Shoot Up

With the latest price hike by the petroleum companies, the price of non-subsidized liquid petroleum gas (LPG) has also been increased to Rs 25 that will come to effect from August 17. A 14.2 kg LPG cylinder which cost Rs 834.50 in July will now be available for Rs 859.50 in Delhi and Mumbai. The LPG price is revised every month based on the crude oil prices globally.

PM Modi To Launch Next Leg Of PMUY Ujjwala 2.0 Scheme In UP

PM Modi will launch "Ujjawala 2.0" in Uttar Pradesh as an initiative of Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana on August 10. He will interact with Ujjawala Scheme members and distribute LPG connections to the people virtually. "These 10 million additional PMUY connections aim to provide deposit-free LPG connections to those low-income families who could not be covered under the earlier phase," the government said in a statement.
