School Going Youth Shot At By Unidentified Assailants In Ludhiana: Punjab
In Punjab's Ludhiana, a school-going youth (19) was shot at outside the Naulakha colony, confirmed police on June 26. As per sources, the incident happened on June 25 night, leaving the victim injured, who is currently being treated at a hospital. Furthermore, the police recovered empty cartridges and launched an investigation. The police are also scanning the available CCTV footage of the area, and yet to identify the accused.

Man Booked For Pouring Hot Oil On Wife In Punjab's Ludhiana
Ajaypal Singh, a resident of Ludhiana's Sarabha Nagar, has been booked for allegedly pouring hot oil on his wife Simranpreet Kaur, on May 27. Reportedly, Simranpreet and their three-year-old daughter left Ajaypal to live alone, after she was allegedly harrassed by Ajaypal who demanded dowry. On May 23, while she was cooking, Ajaypal turned up and reportedly poured the hot oil on her and fled the spot.

Major Fire At Diesel Shed Near Railway Station of Ludhiana, Details Here
Ludhiana had a major fire at diesel shed near railway station. According to the fire department on May 9 the blaze started at around 1.50 pm, someone allegedly discarded a smoke cigarette near the waste engine oil and waste diesel filters, the flame went under control at 4.50 pm. Several waste service parts were gutted, no one was injured, no casualty reported.

Ludhiana Police Busts Drug Smugglers, Recovers 2 Quintal Ganja
In a major crackdown, Ludhiana police on March 13, recovered two quintals of ganja from four smugglers and arrested an interstate drug-smuggling gang. "We have arrested 4 smugglers and recovered over 2 quintals of ganja, 3 kg poppy husk, and half kg of opium from two trucks," said Ludhiana Police Commissioner, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar. Meanwhile, further investigation in this case is underway.

'Supplier' Involved In Ludhiana Court Complex Blast Arrested In Germany
Jaswinder Singh Multani, a member of the pro-Khalistani group 'Sikhs for Justice', has been arrested by the German authorities over alleged involvement in the Ludhiana court complex blast incident. According to sources, Multani was a supplier of explosives, who has links in Pakistan. Ludhiana court complex blast took place on December 23, killing a man and leaving five others injured.

Arvind Kejriwal To Launch 'Mission Punjab', Arrives In Moga
Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) president Arvind Kejriwal arrived in Moga, Punjab, on November 22, to launch "Mission Punjab" and kickstart the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections campaign. During the two-day visit, Kejriwal along with AAP leaders would address press conference, of Ludhiana and Amritsar on November 23. Punjab Gets 1st Breast Milk Pump Bank For Infants In Ludhiana
The first breast milk pump bank has been opened in Punjab's Ludhiana by the district administration in the Civil Hospital on September 10. In the bank, health workers will not only pump out the breast milk to give the infants at regular intervals but also preserve it. However, the preserved milk will be given to those infants whose mothers couldn't provide breast milk due to various medical reasons.
