Bengaluru Reports Increased Lung Diseases Following 'Diwali Pollution'

Many hospitals in Bengaluru have observed a rise in the number of patients suffering from respiratory diseases as the air quality has deteriorated since Diwali. Air Quality Index around Diwali jumped by 23% compared to the same time last year. The number of people suffering from lung diseases has increased by approximately 30%. Doctors advise people to avoid going out too much and use masks at all times.

Wuhan: Man Complaints Of Chest Pain While Jogging With Mask On

A 26-year-old man from China’s Wuhan complained of chest pain while jogging with his mask on. Reportedly, the man’s left lung had been compressed by 90%, and his heart advanced to the right side of his body while jogging. Intense breathing with the mask on has resulted in a build-up of high pressure on his organs. Due to breathlessness, he underwent emergency surgery.
