MP HC Issues Notices To Centre, State Govt In Bhojshala Monument Dispute

Madhya Pradesh High Court issued notices to the Centre, state government, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), and other parties over the Bhojshala monument dispute on May 10. The ASI-protected Bhojshala is a Hindu temple dedicated to Waghdevi (Saraswati). The Muslim community refers to it as the Kamal Maula Mosque. Notices were issued in response to two PILs submitted by Hindu Front for Justice and other Hindu community members.

Any 'Material' demand by In-laws Is Dowry, says SC

The Supreme Court said the word ''dowry'' should be granted broader interpretation in order to include any demand made on a woman, be it valuable security or money for the construction of property. Setting aside the verdict of the MP High Court, the SC bench led by CJI NV Ramana penned the judgement and held the husband and father-in-law responsible for the woman's death.

FIR Filed Against Kapil Sharma Show For 'Disrespecting' Court: Madhya Pradesh

An FIR has been filed against the makers of the Kapil Sharma Show in the district court of Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh after disrespecting the court during which the actors were shown to be drinking on the stage while performing a courtroom scene. It also accuses the show of making "lewd comments" on women and displaying "sloppy" content.

MP High Court Dismisses Standup Comedian Munawar Faruqui's Bail Plea

The bail plea of comedian Munawar Faruqui was dismissed by the Madhya Pradesh High Court on January 28.
