BJP Releases Candidates List For By-Poll Election In Several States
BJP has released its list of candidates for the by-polls to three Lok Sabha seats in Dadar and Nagar Haveli, MP and HP & 16 assembly seats of several states to be held on October 30. Reportedly, BJP has revealed Brigadier Khushal Thakur (Retd) from Mandi, Gyaneswar Patil from Khandwa, and Mahesh Gavit from the UT. Besides, Thakur was the commanding officer who helped capture Tiger Hill in 1999.

After UP and Haryana, MP Plans to Bring Law to Discourage Interfaith Marriages
Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan said a law will be enacted against love-jihad if situation permitted. Vowing to teach a lesson to offenders, the CM said “There will be no jihad in the name of love. If anyone indulges in such a practice, he will be taught a lesson.” The indications came amid promises by BJP-led UP and Haryana, planning to make law against interfaith marriage last week.

Samajwadi party’s Candidate Fled Ahead of By-Polls
Samajwadi Party (SP) candidate for Ambah Assembly Bansilal Jatav fled the party and joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the by-polls in Madhya Pradesh on November 3. BJP Morena district president Yogeshpal Gupta said, “He joined the BJP on October 27th night in the presence of Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.” Reportedly, Jatav earlier left the BJP and joined SP since the party refused to offer him a ticket for elections.
