Taking a dig at the BJP-Eknath Shinde led Maharashtra Government, former CM Uddhav Thackeray and Thackeray led Shiv Sena faction leaders criticised the poorly planned event.  Notably, at the Maharashtra Bhushan Award event, 11 people died of heatstroke and over 120 were admitted to hospital. Lashing out at the Shinde Government, Ajit Pawar and Thackeray said, despite the hot days and scorching sun, the government planned an outdoor event.
