In Maharashtra, a shocking incident was reported BJP MLA Prakash Surve's son allegedly abducted a music company's CEO in Goregaon, Maharashtra. The MLA is from the ruling Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena faction. As per the registered FIR, Surve's son stormed the office of Global Music Junction with 10-15 people and kidnapped the CEO Rajkumar Singh to forcibly made him sign papers. In Maharashtra's Thane region, a hookah parlour was raided by the local Police. The hookah parlour was functioning at Teen Haath Naka allegedly for past two years, which the police had no idea about. Around 13 customers along with staff were apprehended from the place operational near a college in Thane. The hookah joint was full of customers, and 13 customers were caught smoking shisha in the parlour.

A fire broke out in a chemical factory in the Wada area of the Palghar district of the Konkan division in Maharashtra today morning, officials said. According to the police, upon receiving information about the blaze, the fire department arrived at the scene and began working to put out the flames. No loss of human life or financial damage has been reported due to the incident so far.
In breaking news, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a raid at Sameer Wankhede's home in Mumbai. The attacks on the ex-Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) official were conducted amid charges of corruption, confirmed the CBI officials. Notably, Sameer Wankhede is the same officer who arrested Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in an alleged drug case in October 2021 and was charged of corruption.
Two more bodies were recovered on Monday from the debris of a two-storey building which collapsed in Bhiwandi town of Maharashtra's Thane district, raising the death toll to eight, confirmed police sources. Furthermore, the work of clearing the debris was underway on the third day. The building, which housed godowns on the ground and first floors and four families on the top floor, collapsed at 1.45 pm.
Relu Vasave, an Anganwadi worker has been rowing 18 kms a day since lockdown, to provide daily food for the 25 newborns and seven pregnant tribal women in Maharashtra's Nandurbar district. Former member of Legislative Council Nishigandha Mogal from Maharashtra has donated her gold jewellery worth Rs 20 lakh. The sale proceeds will go towards the welfare of war widows and retired personnels. Nishigandha who served as MLC from 1996-2000 announced this while celebrating her 75th birthday. Moved by her effort PM Narendra Modi sent a letter of appreciation to her. Mogal said she was just doing her duty towards the Army.
