Speeding Container Truck Collides With Bus, Killed 6 People

In a tragic incident near Sindkhedaraja in the Buldhana district of Maharashtra, a collision between a state transport corporation bus and a speeding container truck killed six people. Of all, six people including the drivers of both vehicles died and a dozen individuals have been injured, some critically, confirmed Maharashtra. The police launched an investigation and registered a case into the matter.

Parents Stages Protest Against Management Of MN English High School

In Maharashtra's Goregaon region, the police had to be summoned when the parents protested against the reported refusal of the management to provide them with leaving certificates and report cards of their children. The MN English High School many parents started a protest against the management, and filed a complaint of mental torture aginst the management with the police. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.

Helmet Mandatory For Pillion Riders In Maharashtra, Traffic Police Issues Notice

In view of people's safety, the Mumbai traffic police issued a notification for bikers in Maharashtra.  Issued on May 25, the notification mandates helmets for pillion riders. Notably, the new rule will come in effect after 15-days, following which strict action, including fines will be taken against violators. Moreover, currently, there is a fine of Rs 500 for those without helmets, which will soon be enforced on pillion riders also.

Private Tutor Kidnaps Minor, Arrested In Faridabad: Maharashtra Police

A tuition teacher has been arrested in Faridabad, for allegedly kidnapping a 13-year-old girl, confirmed police on May 23. Hailed from Maharashtra, the tuition teacher and the girl went missing on May 1, following which the victim's family filed an FIR. As per the report, the accused's mobile number was tracked in Faridabad, and was later arrested the accused and rescued the girl. A case has been registered for investigation.

Teenager Killed In Mumbai's Thane District; Investigation Underway

Guran Azhar Shaikh (18), a resident of Ashok Nagar area in Bhiwandi, Thane, was killed by unidentified people. As per Maharashtra police, the victim was allegedly taken to an isolated place, and was killed. Although the incident happened on March 3, the body was found on March 4, following which it was sent for postmortem. The police registered a case under Section 307 of the IPC and launched an investigation.

Stalker Attacks Woman With Sickle In Maharashtra; Victim Undergoes Treatment

Tulshiram Narge (45) has been booked under Section 307 of the IPC, said Maharashtra Police, on March 2. Tulshiram was stalking a woman and entered  her house when she was alone, reported PTI. He tried to take advantage, but the victim protested. After which, the accused attacked her with a sickle. Furthermore, the accused is currently absconding, whereas the victim is undergoing treatment at hospital.

The official further said that Union Home Ministry has released a list with names of the police officials. Top Moist Milind Teltumbde Among 26 Rebels Killed: Maharashtra

Maharashtra police authorities on November 14 confirmed top fugitive Maoist Milind Baburao Teltumbde among 26 others killed in an encounter in Gadchiroli district on November 13. Hailing from Rajur village Milind carried a bounty of Rs 50 lakh on his head. He's reported to have been instrumental in the growth of the outlawed movement in Maharashtra. Reportedly, six women maoist were also killed in a gunfight near the Chattisgarh border.
