Migrants Forced To Pay Rs 2500-Rs 3000 To Cross Maharashtra Border Amidst Curfew
Migrant workers returning to their respective states have complained of extortion by Maharashtra police and transport services, as Maharashtra imposed a 15-day curfew. A migrant from Madhya Pradesh revealed that a traveller bus charged Rs 2500 to Rs 3000 per ticket only to desert them at the borders. Besides, the migrants were also seen crammed in jeeps entering MP which was allegedly overlooked by the Maharashtra police at the border.

Maharashtra: Five Naxals Including Four Women Get Killed In Police Encounter
The Maharashtra Police on October 18 gunned down five Naxals, including four women, in Gadchiroli district. Grandson Kills 62-year-old Woman Over Suspicion Of Black Magic
A 62-year-old grandmother was hacked to death with an axe by her grandson in Maharashtra's Palghar district on October 12. Maharashtra : Rape Accused Tries to Set Victim on Fire, Daughter Sustains Injuries
Pune Police has nabbed an accomplice of accused Rajaram Tarte, who allegedly barged inside a tribal woman's house and inflicted burn injuries on her 10-year-old daughter. The accomplice is identified as Amol Tarte. According to the police, a rape case has been filed against the Rajaram and the accused-duo entered victim's house to force the mother to withdraw the case. However, Rajaram is still on the run, an officer said.
