In flood-hit Nashik, approximately six people have swept away following heavy rains in Maharashtra, confirmed officials on July 13. IMD Issues Orange Alert In Mumbai, Predicts Rainfall For Next 48 Hrs
The IMD issued an orange alert in Maharashtra's Mumbai, Palghar, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg on June 20. The alert was in the view of heavy to very heavy rainfall in most parts of Mumbai, on June 19. According to the weather reports, Mumbai and its surrounding areas will receive moderate to heavy rains in the next 24-36 hours. Notably, the southwest monsoon arrived in the State earlier this week.
