Rapido Bike Services Ban From Plying Roads: Mumbai Transport
After Delhi, the Maharashtra Government also banned bike taxi services like Rapido, Ola Moto and Uber Moto to ply on the streets. The transport department has warned bike taxis against plying on the roads of Delhi. The first offence by the aggregators could lead to a fine of Rs 5,000, while the second offence could lead to a fine of Rs 10,000 and imprisonment up to a year, said notice.

President Kovind Arrives At Maharashtra, Nagpur, Will Inaugurate IIM Campus
President of India Ram Nath Kovind is on a one-day visit to Maharashtra, on May 8. He arrived in Nagpur, Maharashtra in order to inaugurate the permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). Notably, the institute was established in 2015, has now a permanent campus in Nagpur. Furthermore, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari received President Kovind at the Nagpur airport.

Maha Bans All Public Gathering Ahead Of Ramazan; 50,000 New COVID Cases
Maharastra CM Uddhav Thackeray-led government has declared a ban on public gatherings and processions with all religious places, considering Ramzan commences from April 14. However, the government has urged all the Muslims to break their fast at home and follow Covid-19 protocol.
