Mumbai To Get India's Largest London Eye Like Tunnel
Mumbai is set to have a third tunnel, which is the longest road tunnel and the country's first giant observation wheel - similar to the London Eye. Besides this, Mumbai Government also granted other infrastructure projects. CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis approved the proposal of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority. The tunnel will be 3.8 km long four-lane road.

86-Year-Old Security Guard Beaten To Death In Mumbai’s Powai
In Mumbai’s Powai Area, a 86-year-old security guard was beaten to death with a stick, on October 4. The victim Limbaji Kamble worked in the JC Builders compound, where the incident occurred in the early hours of the day. The accused, identified as Shripat Dengle, allegedly beat up the old man with a stick after Kamble didn’t allow him to drink liquor. Further details on the matter is awaited.

Cocaine Worth Rs 9.8 Crore Seized By Mumbai Airport Customs
The customs officials at the Mumbai Airport seized 980 grams of cocaine, estimated to be valued at Rs 9.8 crore from a passenger on October 3. Reportedly, the passenger arrived in Ethiopian Airlines flight ET-610 from Addis Ababa. According to the officials, the contraband was carried in the undergarments of the passenger. The accused has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody.

The Mumbai International Airport received an email warning about a bomb on an IndiGo airplane, informed officials on October 2. Following the bomb scare, security has been tightened at the airport. The information has been termed a “hoax”. The flight which was mentioned in the mail, was delayed and checked thoroughly. In Maharashtra’s Pune, using the 3D printing technology, a 3D printed runway controller hut has been set up at the Airforce station, making it the one of a kind. The structure was reportedly made in 30 days, and includes a 3D printed concrete foundation and wall panels, besides the ground floor roof using precast technology. Raids Conducted Across 6 States To Crackdown PFI; 75 Taken Into Preventive Custody
Police along with investigating agencies conducted raids in another major crackdown against Popular Front of India (PFI) on September 27.
