Textbook Lists Shocking Merits Of Dowry System, Surfaces

An image of a page from a book lists out the "merits and advantages" of the dowry system, in a post that has now gone viral. The book is, as per media reports, reading material for nursing students and apparently, its cover mentions that the book is written as per the Indian Nursing Council syllabus. Shiv Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan called to act immediately.

Mumbai: Mahim Dargah Plans To Issue Passes To Control Crowds

In an effort to regulate crowds, Mumbai's Mahim Dargah is planning to issue passes to devotees. Its managing trustee Sohail Khandwani stated that the dargah premises were being sanitised regularly. Khandwani said, “We will wait till November 26 night and decide if we need to issue passes to devotees to regulate visits." Urban Maharashtra's Longest Tunnel Under Construction, Says Shiv Sena MP

Former Maharashtra MLC Donates Her Gold Worth 20L To Armed Forces

Former member of Legislative Council Nishigandha Mogal from Maharashtra has donated her gold jewellery worth Rs 20 lakh. The sale proceeds will go towards the welfare of war widows and retired personnels. Student Approaches HC For Re-Evaluation of NEET Exam Paper

Vasundhara Bhojane, a NEET candidate has filed a petition in Nagpur High Court, after receiving '0' out of '720' in NEET. According to Bhojane, there must be a technical error in the results because she has a good academic record with 93.4% in class X and 81.9% in class XII.
