Mumbai To Get Pet Incinerator In Malad West
After a long wait of five years, the Mumbai Civic Body finally decided to have a pet incinerator at the cattle and dog pound in Evershine Nagar, Malad West. The incinerator machinery will be operational soon, confirmed sources. Currently, only pet dogs will be cremated at the facility as there is no general crematorium for pets in the city. Notably, the existing private facilities have long waiting periods.

Actor Kamaal R Khan Arrested Over His Controversial Social Media Post In 2020
Bollywood actor Kamaal R Khan has been arrested by Mumbai’s Malad police on August 30. The arrest has come over Khan’s controversial social media post in 2020. Reportedly, Khan landed at Mumbai airport, and immediately was apprehended by the police there. Khan is expected to be produced before Mumbai’s Borivali court, where the next course of action will be decided. Further details on the matter are awaited.

Mumbai’s AQI Indicates Poor Category For The Next Two Days
Mumbai reported an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 286 on May 20, after registering an AQI of 309 on May 19. An AQI between 201 and 300 is considered "poor." Except for Malad and Mazgaon, which had "very poor" AQI, all of the remaining locations had poor AQI. The AQI is expected to continue in this range for the following two days.

Youth Died After Falling From Over Crowded Local: Maharashtra
A 22-year-old- youth died after he fell from an over crowded Mumbai locals, on March 23. The incident happened between Goregaon and Malad station, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The Borivali Government Railway Police said that a case has been registered and assured further investigation in the matter. Notably, the identity of the youth, who board the train from Churchgate is yet to be revealed.

'Oxygen Man' Shahnawaz Sells SUV Worth Rs 22L To Buy Oxygen For Patients
Shahnawaz Sheikh, a Mumbai man, is being called as the 'Oxygen Man’ after he sold his SUV worth Rs 22 lakh to arrange oxygen for COVID patients. Reportedly, Sheikh has bought 160 oxygen cylinders from the money and has also set up a control room and a helpline number for timely service. As of now, Sheikh and his team have helped over 4,000 people since the pandemic began in 2020.
