PV Sindhu Eliminated From Malaysia Masters 2022 After Losing To Tai Tzu Ying In Quarterfinals

PV Sindhu was eliminated from the Malaysia Masters Super 500 tournament on July 8 after losing to Tai Tzu Ying in the quarterfinals. Seventh seed Sindhu fell short against the world no. 2 a week after getting outwitted by Chinese Taipei at the Malaysia Open. Sindhu suffered her 17th career defeat against the Tokyo Olympics silver medalist, who had beaten the Indian in all seven previous matches.

Indian Player Sai Praneeth Defeats Kevin Cordon, Sameer Verma Loses In Malaysia Masters 2022

Indian shuttler B Sai Praneeth began his Malaysia Masters 2022 campaign with victory over Guatemala's Kevin Cordon on July 6. Sameer Verma of India lost his opening men's singles match of the current Malaysia Masters 2022 against Taiwan's Chou Tien-Chen. In the women's singles, PV Sindhu will face China's He Bingjiao, while HS Prannoy will face France's Brice Leverdez. Saina Nehwal will compete against Kim Ga-eun of South Korea.
