Mamata Banerjee After Meeting Sharad Pawar Says, 'There's No UPA'

Bharatiya Janata Party National Convener of the IT cell, Amit Malviya said on December 1, that West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee threw Congress party under the bus and declared UPA "dead" after meeting Nationalist Congress Chief (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar. The move comes after Banerjee slammed UPA for its role. "What is UPA? There is no UPA", said Banerjee. Pawar tweeted a photo too after meeting the TMC leader.

TMC To Attend All-Party Meeting; Decides To Skip Congress' Meeting

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) led by West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee attended an all-party meeting, chaired by PM Narendra Modi on November 28. TMC also said it would attend a meeting of the floor leaders called by the Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu on the same day at his residence. However, the party decided to skip the Congress' meeting called by Mallikarjun Kharge on November 29.

Mamata Banerjee To Meet PM Modi, Likely To Discuss WB Issues

West Bengal (WB) CM Mamata Banerjee is expected to meet PM Narendra Modi, on November 24. Scheduled in New Delhi, during the meeting, CM Banerjee would discuss the Border Security Force (BSF) issues, allowing search and arrest with extended jurisdiction without interference of state and central governments and West Bengal development. Mamata Banerjee is in Delhi since November 22 and is scheduled to return to WB on November 25.

Banerjee, Islam & Hossain To Take Oath As MLAs After Winning By-Polls: West Bengal

Mamata Banerjee, Amirul Islam and Jakir Hossain will take oath as MLAs on October 7, after winning the recent by-polls. The Election Commission of India stated that Banerjee secured a total of 85,263 votes. BJP's Priyanka Tibrewal secured 26,428 votes and CPI's Srijib Biswas secured 4,226 votes. According to the data, 71.90 voters have voted for Banerjee. The oath will be administered by West Bengal's Governor, Jagdeep Dhankar.

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee won a thunderous victory in the by-poll from Bhawanipur in Kolkata on October 3. Winning this by-poll was crucial for her to continue as the Chief Minister following the defeat at Nandigram in the assembly elections. She won with a record margin of 58,832 votes over her BJP rival Priyanka Tribewal. State Minister Sovandeb Chattopadhyay vacated this seat for CM Banerjee.

BJP Accuses Mamata Banerjee Of Covid Norm Violation; Complaint Filed To EC

During Bhabhanipur by-polls campaign, CM Mamata Banerjee is accused of allegedly violating the covid-19 norms, brief BJP complaint to Election Commission on September 16. Sajal Ghosh, Chief Election Agent of BJP in the complaint to EC claimed that she was accompanied by a large group of mask-less people to her gurudwara visit. He added, CM violated the Model Code of Conduct. TMC denied allegation as "baseless and politically motivated".
