"Monster Mamta": Kangana Ranaut Attacks Bengal CM While Reacting To FIR

Kangana Ranaut, in a response to the FIR filed against her by the TMC, has called West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee a "blood thirsty monster". The actress stated, "Ironic that the blood thirsty monster Mamta who is openly killing and lynching those who did not vote for her is accusing me of communal violence." The FIR against Kangana read that she was spreading "Hate Propaganda” to incite violence in Bengal.

Mamata Banerjee Sworn In As West Bengal CM For 3rd Consecutive Term

Two-time West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on May 5 took the oath for the post for her third consecutive term. The low-key event was held at the Raj Bhavan in Kolkata, and Mamata was sworn in as the CM by Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar. The Trinamool Congress supremo took the oath in 'Bengali'. Twitter Permanently Suspends Kangana Ranaut's Account After Hate Post

Twitter India has permanently suspended actress Kangana Ranaut’s Twitter account from its website on May 4. Reportedly, following the post Bengal election counting violence, Kangana made a provoking tweet by urging PM Narendra Modi to tame Mamata Banerjee using his ‘Virat roop’ from ‘early 2000s’.  Citing 'hateful conduct and abusive behavior' the microblogging site said 'you may not engage in the targeted harassment of someone.'

EC Says No For Recounting In Nandigram, TMC To Approach Court

As the Election Commission on May 2 denied Mamata Banerjee's request to recount the votes for the Nandigram constituency, the West Bengal CM has said that she would take the matter to the court. The EC, which earlier declared Banerjee as the winner in Nandigram, later announced BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari as the victor. "I will go to the court because I have heard there were some malpractices," CM Mamata stated.

Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee To Stop Any More Campaigning In Kolkata

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has decided to not to hold anymore election rally in Kolkata owing to the steep surge in COVID-19 cases.
