Mamata Banerjee Bans "The Kerala Story" Screening In WB
In a major setback for the makers of "The Kerala Story", the West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee announced a ban on its screening in the State. The film has been banned citing citing "maintenance of peace" and to avoid incidents of "hatred and violence" in the state. Notably, since the release of the trailer "The Kerala Story" has been a matter of controversy, fighting legal battles before its release.

WB CM To Meet Nitish Kumar And Discuss 2024 Elections
In order to unite as a strong opposition, the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC asked to meet Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar. According to sources, the meeting is hinting towards the talk of opposition alliance to fight the PM Narendra Modi-led BJP, in the 2024 General elections. "I have made just one request to Nitish Kumar. We can then decide where we have to go next,"said Banerjee.

BJP Hired Goons To Create Violence In West Bengal: Mamata Banerjee
In another blame game, in the West Bengal Ram Navami violence, Mamata Banerjee said, the BJP hired goons to create ruckus in the state, disturbing the harmony during Ram Navami celebrations. In an interview, Banerjee said, "We don't riot and the common people don't riot. If BJP can't do it, they hire people to incite riots." Meanwhile, West Bengal CM alerted people of any riots ahead of Hanuman Jayanti.

After the recent Ram Navami violence, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee called for caution ahead of Hanuman Jayanti, on April 6. Banerjee said, "I am asking my administration as well as the common people to remain alert on April 6. We all respect Bajrangbali, and we do not want any tension or violence in his name." The caution came after recent clashes in Rishra Hoogly, three days after Ram Navami.

Howrah Ram Navami Violence: BJP-TMC In Blame Game, Demands CBI Inquiry

2010 Mangalkot Blast Case: Chargesheet Filed, TMC’s Anubrata Mondal Produced In Court
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’ close aide and senior TMC leader Anubrata Mondal has been produced before the MP/MLA court for his alleged connection in the 2010 Mangalkot blast case.
