Maharashtra Mandates Use Of Face Masks Due To Rising Cases
In response to an upsurge in the number of cases of Covid, Maharashtra's government has enforced the usage of face masks in all public areas excluding open spaces. Maharashtra Govt To Mandate Face Mask If COVID-19 Surge Continues
The Uddhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra Government is likely to bring mandatory face masks in the State. Considering the rise in COVID-19 cases, State Health Minister Rajesh Tope, on May 1 said, "If COVID-19 cases continue to rise, then we will have to make the wearing of masks compulsory". DDMA Reimposes Mandatory Face Mask Rule With Rs 500 Fine For Violators: Delhi
Amid the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) reimposed mandatory face masks in the national capital. On April 20, the DDMA and Delhi held a meeting and announced to impose a Rs 500 fine for violators of face mask COVID-19 protocol. Furthermore, as of now, there is no decision on the closure of schools and other places, but new SOPs have been issued.
